Lake District Walking. If you can't afford a helicopter ride over the magnificent peaks of the Lake District (and lets admit it, most of us can't) then arguably the best way to see the lakes, mountains and villages is to walk! It's Cheap, Healthy, Invigorating and Awe Inpsiring all rolled in to one. Many people percieve walking in the Lakes as a trudge up a mountainside, laden down with hiking gear with only the odd goat for company. That just is'nt the case. There are walks for all here. Families, elderly visitors, adventure groups, and thrill seekers.
